Prime minister KP Sharma Oli, speaking in a program held in Baluwatar on Saturday, said he would resign if the related party's withdrew their support previously given to him while forming his government.
Mr. Prime Minister further clarifed that he would never give resignation just by being begged, however, if the support to him was withdrawn, his resignation would come.
Mr. Oli then informed that they insisted him to resign several times, repeatedly almost everyday and, he went on saying, how many resignations he would give as he was able to give only one. He also illucidated that he couldn't resign because CPN (Maoist Center) didn't withdraw its support yet.
Mr. Oli expressed dissatisfaction with the stakeholders who, according to him, always gave priority to the issue of his resignation while they were blindfolded to the good works like Melamchi Drinking Water Project, road construction works etc.
Followed by the prime minister's act of House dissolution, the main opposition party Nepali Congress and the Nepal-Khanal faction of his own party, including the Maoist Center, have been urging him to resign from the post of the prime minister.
Recently, Nepali Congress has also formally decided to take position in removing Mr. Oli and attempting to form a new government under its own leadership.
