Mumbai Indians' Kieron Pollard played heroic cricket while leading his team to victory aganist Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Saturday night. Polard had made 87 runs not out in just 34 balls.

Mumbai met the huge target of 219 runs in the loss of 6 wickets with the help of Pollard's explosive batting. This is the 2nd highest run-chase in the history of IPL, being the 1st  that of last year when the target of 223 runs, given by Punjab Kings, was chased by Rajasthan Royals.

Mumbai had needed 16 runs in the last over.
Pollard made his team win by hitting 2 fours, 1 six  and adding 2 runs against Chennai's bowler Lungi Ngidi. Pollard heroically scored 87 runs in 34 balls with the help of 6 sixes and 8 fours.

For the team's victory, Mumbai's Quinton de Cock, captain Rohit Sharma, Kunal Pandya and Hardik Pandya had contributed 38, 35, 32 and 16 runs respectively.

Chennai's Sam Curran had taken 3 wickets, whereas, Shardul Thakur, Ravindra Jadeja And Moeen Ali each had taken a wicket.

Earlier to that, Chennai had mounted a score of 218 runs in the loss of 4 wickets, bating first after losing the toss. Chennai's Faf du Plessis, Moeen Ali and Ambati Rayudu had crossed half century. Rayudu had made 72 runs in 27 balls with the help of 7 sixes and 4 fours. Similarly, Moeen Ali and du Plessis had contributed 58(36) and 50(28) respectively.

Mumbai's Kieron Pollard had taken 2 wickets, whereas, Trent Bolt and Jasprit Bumrah each had taken a wicket. Mumbai has collected 8 points winning 4 out of 7 mathches and is in the 4th position on the IPL points table.
